Shooting Star Dreamer

Today is August 3rd, 2018, which is Honoka Kousaka's birthday! I'd like to wish Honoka a happy birthday, and give her a tribute on Shooting Star Dreamer! Honoka Kousaka is an idol from the series Love Live: School Idol Project. She's the driving force of the idol group and the focal character of the series. She's not necessarily the most skilled or intelligent, but she's willing to work hard for what she believes in. This inspires people of various backgrounds to follow her, making her a wonderful leader. This isn't my first time making a post for Honoka, but I believe she deserves the spotlight because of how much I love her as a character. Her outgoing attitude and optimism is something that the world needs nowadays. Below is a showcase from the community, expressing their love for Honoka! Honoka Kousaka Shrine, from Reddit. Birthday cake from Emi Nitta, Honoka's voice actress/seiyuu. A tribute from Reddit use DakinaMGF! Anoth...

Today is July 22nd and marks the birthday of Nico Yazawa, a high school idol from the popular anime Love Live: School Idol Project ! This post is a quick spotlight on Nico, a character who is not only adored by anime fans, but known around the internet. As a quick overview, Nico is a pretty eccentric character. She is a third-year student in high school which is equivalent to senior level in the United States. This puts her age around 17-18, which means she's one of the older characters in the series. Despite this she still has a young appearance and is short in comparison to everyone else. Being born on July 22nd makes her the zodiac sign Cancer, which is a water element. Characteristics of this sign are emotional capabilities and sensitivity. They also care deeply about the things important to them. This can be reflected in Nico's expressiveness and her devotion to her career. Outside of the anime, Nico is also an internet sensation. Her trademark saying, ...

Today marks the birthday of μ's team leader, Honoka Kousaka. Honoka is a character from the very popular idol anime Love Live, which is now airing it's second season known as Love Live Sunshine . She's born on August 3rd, and is a fiery Leo. I've done a post before on Honoka Kousaka celebrating her birthday , but I wanted to give another quick shoutout to her today. Honoka is a huge inspiration to me and my blog. Therefore, I wanted to give her some spotlight! For Honoka related pictures on Pixiv, please follow this link . Look below for a video featuring one of her songs. Thank you for reading and Happy Birthday Honoka!

Good evening! Yesterday, May 21st, marked the birthday of my favorite female anime character, Yamada from B Gata H Kei. Unfortunately, I was too busy to make a post on the previous day regarding Yamada, so here's one now! Yamada is an interesting character. The first distinct thing about her is that her first name is never mentioned throughout her series and still remains a mystery to this day. Although her actual background is somewhat mysterious, it doesn't keep her from being an enthusiastic and open person. Although she's not too popular of a character, (she has little merchandise, fan art, and other typical anime goods) her anime usually stands out in the minds of those who have seen it for being unique in more ways than one. This is exactly what attracted me to Yamada; she's unique and doesn't really fit into the generic anime norms. With that being said, being born on May 21st makes Yamada a Gemini, just barely. She falls on the cusp of the dates, s...

Support the artist! Good evening everyone! Today is January 17th, which is Hanayo Koizumi's birthday! I'd like to take the chance to say, Happy Birthday to one of my favorite Love Live characters; Hanayo. As usual for those who don't know, Hanayo, is a character from the popular idol anime, Love Live . The anime also has a video game version known as Love Live: School Idol Festival ; which features a rhythm game like play style. I recommend checking it out! Hanayo being born in mid January makes her a Capricorn in western zodiac. This sign is an earthen sign which represents balance and a more down to earth personality. She is somewhat of an introvert, but is very knowledgeable about idols, and sports glasses at times. The main trait that people know her for is her famous white rice obsession. Although I relate a bit more to Honoka Kousaka, Hanayo is definitely an amazing character. I admire her passion when it comes to idols and I love that she just eats as much ...

Hello again everyone! Today marks the birthday of another of my favorite characters, Yukiko Amagi from Persona 4. It just so happens that two of my favorite characters in the world share birthdays that are only a day apart. What's even more ironic is that they represent two opposite elements, fire and ice. So while we focused on the icy side yesterday, we'll be focusing on the firey Yukiko today! Now, this isn't the first time celebrating Yukiko's birthday on Shooting Star Dreamer. So if you get the chance please check out my previous post, " Happy Birthday Yukiko Amagi! " Yukiko Amagi is a very interesting character. Despite being a fire-based character, she isn't extremely hot-headed or aggressive. On top of that, her name can mean Snow Child or Snow Girl, which is ironic in comparison with her battle style. Being born on December 8th makes her a Sagittarius, in regards to zodiac. One of the reasons why I greatly adore Yukiko is because she break...

Today, December 7th, marks the birthday of one of my all time favorite characters, Mizore Shirayuki from the anime Rosario + Vampire ! This is the second time celebrating her birthday on Shooting Star Dreamer. so please check out my previous post, " Happy Birthday Mizore-san ." Mizore Shirayuki is born on December 7th, and is a high school student at Yokai Academy. Being born on this date makes her zodiac sign, Sagittarius. She is a yuki-onna, which can translate to snow woman. This gives her a high level of control over ice which allows her to engage in combat. She is most known for her signature traits, being her lollipop she always has around and her high level of stealth. Instead of focusing solely on Mizore, I'd like to take something from her as a character. Mizore is an interesting person, while being somewhat misunderstood, she is also wise beyond her years. Although there are many moments that I remember fondly, there is one quote that always stands out in ...

Support the Artist! Happy Birthday to one of the most outgoing and inspirational characters I know, Honoka Kousaka! As usual for those who don't know, Honoka is a character from the popular idol anime, Love Live . If you wish to know more about the anime, don't hesitate to check out that link. I also featured Honoka in another post of mine, Three Inspirational Anime Females , if you have the time, please take a look! Honoka is the main driving force behind the school idol group, μ's, (pronounced muse) and is responsible for it's overall creation and success. Due to her positive outlook, enthusiasm, and passion, Honoka worked to bring all the characters together to form the wonderful group that exists today. Due to this, she is usually seen as the leader of the group and is often the center. Honoka Kousaka is born on August 3rd, making her a Leo, which is a fire sign of the zodiac. This can relate to her leadership role and her high-energy lifestyle. Her signatu...

Today is June 23rd, which marks the birthday of our favorite blue blur, Sonic the Hedgehog! Sonic the Hedgehog is known for his huge collection of fast-paced, platforming games, and more-so for being the mascot of Sega. Although Sonic has had his ups and downs, he still holds a special place in the heart of his long-time fans. There are a few interesting traits about Sonic that make him pretty unique. For one, his ability to run and crazy speeds is his trademark. He's gone faster than the speed of sound at certain points. He also has a fair personality, which leads to him always taking the side of the weaker ones, protecting them and keeping evil at bay. Upon his older incarnations, he is mostly shown with his love of freedom and adventure. With his birthday being on June 23rd, his astrological sign is Gemini. An air element of the zodiac. This goes hand in hand with his love of freedom and the constant theme of his personality being somewhat like the wind. With being s...

Hey again guys! Today is officially Nozomi's birthday! This post goes out to her! For those who don't know, Nozomi is a member of the Love Live  idol group μ's, (pronounced muse) and one of the driving forces to the group's formation and success. She was originally the vice president of the student council in the series, and is often looked upon for her advice and "spiritual power." Her name in Japanese can mean hope or beauty depending on the kanji. However, her name uses the kanji that means wish, written as 希. A train in Japan known as the shinkansen also shares the name of Nozomi .  Being born on June 9th makes her a Gemini, an air sign of the zodiac. For me, Nozomi wasn't originally an idol I liked. She isn't part of my favorite group, Printemps , but I liked how she was always ready to help and that her appearance seemed to differ a bit from the other girls. She always seemed like a mature-type in comparison which was an interesting additi...

Today is officially Luka Megurine's birthday! I decided to take time out of the day in order to celebrate the birthday of one of my favorite Vocaloid characters, Luka. For more information on Luka Megurine and Vocaloid in general, check out the Vocaloid Wiki ! I also wanted to thank you all for reading this post, and I invite you join me as I enjoy her birthday with music and images! Even if you're not a big Luka fan, maybe you will enjoy listening to her songs and viewing a few nice pictures. Also, if there's another anime character that has a birthday soon, let me know and I will make a post especially for them. This is a great way to promote your favorite characters if they aren't too well known, so please don't be afraid to ask. Thank you for reading!

Yes everyone, two birthdays back to back! This time we're embracing big changes, not only in temperature and personality, but in characters. Today's spotlight is on Yukiko Amagi, one of my favorite characters from the Persona franchise.  Don't know who she is? Take a look here. Again like Mizore, Yukiko is one of my favorite characters I relate to greatly. I really love how her character was developed throughout Persona 4. She was built into a character of many sides, one being intelligent, another being silly, and one being contrary to her name. She even has a pretty nice quote that states "I think everyone has multiple sides to them. You don't have to force yourself to decide on just one." I agree with this completely, we can't really be reduced into one single essence. There's more to a person than one thing, and I think the most realistic characters in anime are built on this philosophy. I know in a lot of anime, fire characters fall into ...

It's finally time for one of my favorite characters,  Mizore Shirayuki!  She's a lovely snow woman or yuki onna, but don't worry she isn't all that scary. Mizore originates from the anime Rosario + Vampire, which is one of my favorites, so please check it out! Also feel free to take the time to listen to her theme song while you're reading this post! (Scroll down to the button of page.) Mizore is also a really important character to me. When I had just discovered anime, I had a hard to relating to many characters. They seemed too different from my personality, or too extreme in their personalities. I started with Naruto and related to Naruto and Sasuke both, but I didn't want to stop there! So eventually after watching a couple episodes of Rosario + Vampire by chance, Mizore made her appearance and from then on I knew she was my favorite character of the series, and one of my favorite anime characters of all time. Every time I see her I feel a war...

Hello everyone! This post is probably coming through a little late, (it's officially 10/11 now! ^^;) but I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Naruto! I always tend to remember his unique birthday of 10/10, but last time I forgot to post about it. I'm making up for it now! Most people know Naruto already, so I'd just like to give a little background about my love for the anime. I basically started watching Naruto when I was just entering 6th grade. I finally had access to a laptop, and I was just getting into the depths of technology. This was around the time YouTube was created, and you could find virtually anything online, including full Naruto episodes. If you know me well, you'd know that I love English dubs and I love the hard wok the voice actors put into their work. So of course, since I started Naruto with dubs, this version has a special place in my heart. I guess you could call Naruto somewhat of a gateway anime for me. I watched things like Pokemon an...

Happy Birthday Hatsune Miku! It's August 31st and that means two things. One, August is almost over and we're moving into September. Two, it's Miku's birthday. (Also my brother's!) On the chance you don't know Miku, she's a Vocaloid and essentially a virtual idol. Vocaloid is the name of a software used to create music using the manipulation of voice-banks. While Miku is not the first of her kind, she is the most well known. For more information simply ask Google, or discover Vocaloid music and videos on YouTube! Please enjoy celebrating with Miku and have a nice day! Let's celebrate Project Diva style! Don't forget a nice song along the way!

Today is officially Sasuke Uchiha's birthday. Whether you can't stand him or like him, he was born today. Sasuke Uchiha (うちはサスケ, Uchiha Sasuke) is one of two known surviving members of Konohagakure's Uchiha clan. He becomes a shinobi so that he can become powerful enough to avenge his family by killing their murderer: his older brother, Itachi.

Hello and good evening everyone! Today is the birthday of one of my favorite characters, Rise Kujikawa from the Persona 4 series. Rise Kujikawa is a former idol by the stage name of "Risette," who ends her career to work at her family business in Inaba, Japan.  Rise eventually gets wrapped up in the series of crimes taking place in the game, and provides support for the playable characters. In the game, the color associated with her is pink. This can be seen by the pink glasses, and her being of the Lovers Social Link in game. She's recently been announced as playable in the new Persona fighter, Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax. If you're interested please check out the video at this link. She is pretty much my favorite female character in the Persona series, alongside Yukiko Amagi and Aigis. I'm very excited to see her in Persona 4 Arena, and I'll probably play her a lot once the game comes out. For anyone who wants Rise fan art, I've created a folde...

So today is May 28th, and we're reaching the end of May. Why not finish things out with a bang? Today, I'd like to give my birthday wishes to Konata Izumi from the anime Lucky Star . If you don't know Konata, she's basically the main character and leader of the group. While I've never seen Lucky Star, Konata just seems like a likeable character. Maybe someday I'll get around to it, and work through my watch list of doom. Until then, I'm going to stick with newer anime. If you're interested in watching her anime you can find it officially at this link . There is also a dub version for people who prefer an English take on anime. Again, I haven't seen the anime yet so I can't give any thoughts or opinions on it, but from what I've heard it's pretty good! Well that's all for now! If there's any anime characters that you want to give a birthday shout out, let me know and I'll feature them here. Until next time guys~
