My Favorite Anime (Recommendations for Readers)

Image
Everyone has a favorite anime, or a list of anime that they really like. While we debate about favorites and sometimes dislike others, I thought it'd be a great idea to share a few of my favorite anime with my readers. It's not only as a way to get to know me better, but as a list of recommendations for those who happen to stumble upon this post. In order to keep this post easy to view and read, I'll just post a picture of my favorites accompanied by a title, a link to the My Anime List page of the anime, and a little summary of why I enjoy it. I'll try to keep these thoughts to about a paragraph of length so this post isn't text heavy.  As forewarning, if you don't like the anime I'm about the post, it's completely okay. All I ask is for readers to respect my favorites. Also, I love discussions, so I would like to hear from people who feel the same or people who feel the opposite. Don't forget to share your favorite anime as well if you h...

Favorite Anime of 2014

Image
Yeah, I know it's a little late for this post, but better late than never. Last year, I watched a couple of anime series, some I liked and some I didn't. A few stood out above the rest and thus became my favorites. I  hope I can watch even more great anime this year, and have a bigger list than this one. Also, I'd like to say that this list excludes a few anime I haven't finished, so who knows, I might do a separate post for each one. As always, stay tuned! As a heads up, I'm not necessarily saying that these anime were the best. This list is simply built on my opinions only. So if you disagree, please remember that it's okay; you don't have to like these anime. However, I would love to hear your favorites if you have any. Post them in the comment box at the end of this post! I might even try out a few of them! If you're curious of the method I use to determine favorite anime or rate them, it's basically based on my likes and dislikes. If I ge...

Favorite Anime Halloween Episodes

Image
Hey everyone! I've finally gotten time to write again. I just recently went through midterm week at college, or weeks, but I've fought through the storm and I am alive! Since Halloween is coming soon, I would like to do a little something for the holidays. I haven't figured out exactly what yet, but please keep a look out for a Halloween Announcement. So while I've made that clear, I want to address another Halloween related topic today. There's a lot of anime out there in the world, but only certain ones work the holidays into their plot. It's even better when they're airing during the holiday season. Despite this, there's a few anime that stand more than others. So today I'm going to discuss a few of my favorite Halloween episodes! Even if you're not a holiday person, I advise you to take a look since you might find an anime you want to check out. Also, I'm going to work in a question with every anime, so if you have the time, drop a...

The Little Things We Do Differently (When We Like Anime)

Image
There's so many wonderful series out there for us to watch and enjoy. We have multiple genres, ranging from romance and comedy to action packed adventures. Even though there's so many things out there for us and we can try them all, there's only a few that we'll truly like. I mentioned in my last post that Hanayamata just jumped out at me. Literally, if any of you know Crunchyroll, it's like a total galore of anime. So to have one stand out among many, is really something special. I'm still watching it right now and it's not finished yet, but I've already enjoyed it much more than most series. (On Episode 4 right now!) Hana has quickly become a favorite of mine! Also, I wanted to bring up Hanayamata because of a saying I related to immensely. Hana states that people should be allowed to do what they want. She says that we only have a short time on earth, so she only does the things she likes to do. Why waste her time doing things that do...

Anime Challenge: AniMarch

Image
Hello everyone! I'm currently fighting exams and trying to balance school and writing. Despite this, I'm  participating in something known as a 30 Day Anime Challenge. (Or 31 days in this case.)  If you haven't been with me since the beginning, you may not know exactly what this is so here's a brief explanation. Basically every day you're prompted with a question. It has something to do with anime, and is usually one that makes you think about anime in ways you haven't before. It's very interesting, because not only do you get to have fun and talk about yourself, you get to meet other people who have similar likes and dislikes. The one I'm taking part of is AniMarch. For more info about it, please check this link . I encourage people to participate, even if you don't have a blog of your own. Share with your friends and have fun! If you're curious please check out the Tumblr version of this blog using the link above! Thanks!

Favorite Anime of 2013

Image
Yamada's being....a little silly at the moment. I got the idea from some other bloggers, and decided to make my own list. I'd like to say that I really enjoyed the 2013 anime year. I usually don't keep up with the newest anime, and most of the ones I know are older and long gone. Just a quick warning, these are based on my own opinion and tastes. You may disagree with me, or you may not. I don't rate series on the quality of the artwork, story, or such. I judge them based on whether I enjoyed them or not. Also, this list is in no order. Suisei no Gargantia Possibly my favorite out of all the anime I watched this year. I loved this anime, as the story kept me on my toes with it's constant twists and turns. One second everything about the story seems clear, and the next it's swapped. This anime also teaches a good lesson about things not being what they seem. This may seem like a generic moral, but it's one that is commonly forgotten. Suisei no...
