Happy Miku Day everyone! March 9th (3/9) holds significance for our favorite virtual idol. 3/9 can be read as Mi (Mitsu) ku in Japanese, which led to the holiday. Hatsune Miku's first solo concert, 39's Giving Day, also took place on this date in 2010. Lastly, as a way to thank Miku, the date can be said as San-Kyu (thank you) in Japanese. There's been quite a few festivities going around, such as special sales from otaku merchandise providers and of course artwork from fans. Various companies have given tributes to Miku as well! As for Shooting Star Dreamer, we'll showcase a few special artworks for your viewing pleasure, alongside with video footage of her Giving Day concert. Today is officially Luka Megurine's birthday! I decided to take time out of the day in order to celebrate the birthday of one of my favorite Vocaloid characters, Luka. For more information on Luka Megurine and Vocaloid in general, check out the Vocaloid Wiki ! I also wanted to thank you all for reading this post, and I invite you join me as I enjoy her birthday with music and images! Even if you're not a big Luka fan, maybe you will enjoy listening to her songs and viewing a few nice pictures. It has been a long time since I found out about Vocaloid . I remember somehow discovering a few songs when browsing YouTube one day. I was seeing Hatsune Miku everywhere. I was wondering, what in the world is this? So I proceeded to browse through a few videos. Unlike some people, when I first heard the voice I thought they sounded so nice! They were also anime characters to boot! However, I didn't quite understand how Vocaloid worked so I proceeded to do a little research. I found out that even though Vocaloid uses real voices, the characters basically are singers on their own. The whole process is a little extensive, but I knew from that point on that I found something I really loved.  Unfortunately, the Vocaloid software itself was pretty expensive. On top of that, I liked many characters, a few being Miku, Luka, and Gumi. So to do anything that required more than one singer, I'd have to buy the software multiple times. I definitely didn't want to do that! ...

Hello everyone! I have a question for you all today, it's pretty simple and straightforward. How do you function in your daily lives? Does your mind and intellect rule your decisions, or do you listen to your heart? Maybe a little bit of both? Well despite your answer, I had the urge to share a Vocaloid song since I haven't done anything dealing with Let's Share in a while. Happy Birthday Hatsune Miku! It's August 31st and that means two things. One, August is almost over and we're moving into September. Two, it's Miku's birthday. (Also my brother's!) On the chance you don't know Miku, she's a Vocaloid and essentially a virtual idol. Vocaloid is the name of a software used to create music using the manipulation of voice-banks. Here's some of the cool stuff I picked up at KhaoticKon! Wall Scrolls Was searching for a Sage Mode Naruto scroll, but unfortunately I was unable to locate one.  DVDs B Gata H Kei is a slice of life anime. Instead of focusing on a male protagonist, the story revolves around a girl known as Yamada. She is a fifteen year old high school student. The story turns into a romantic comedy, and is quite funny. Quite a change from the usual high school plot. Case Closed is a detective anime. The main character is a hotshot seventeen year old detective who is transformed into a young boy. He searches to find the criminals behind his transformation while solving cases despite his small posterior.  Figures Nendoroid Miku and Kaito. My brother absolutely loves Kaito. Everyone knows Miku Hatsune, right?     My history with Miku isn't really unique; I randomly stumbled upon her on YouTube one day, hearing one of her ever so popular songs. I didn't really know what Vocaloid was at the time, but I liked the music. Maybe I was one of the few people who didn't get turned off by her voice, judging from the thousands of complaints.    "I don't like her voice," some say. "Her voice is too high, it hurts my ears." What gives I wonder.    Upon hearing Luka Megurine, I found her voice to be beautiful. "They're two of these singers?" I thought to myself upon learning of her existence.    Now I know all about Vocaloid. There's not just one or two, but a lot of them!
